Longocain® Heavy
A powerful long-acting anesthetic for spinal anesthesia in surgery, traumatology, and obstetrics.
Anesthesia sets in quickly (within 5–10 minutes) and lasts for 6–8 hours.
Indicated for spinal anesthesia in urological procedures, lower limb surgeries lasting up to 2–3 hours, and abdominal surgeries lasting 45–60 minutes.
- Longocaine Heavy is used for hyperbaric spinal anesthesia, where the density of the solution and the patient’s position on the table significantly influence its initial spread in the subarachnoid space.
Advantages:
- When using Longocaine Heavy, the level of sensorimotor block is more controllable compared to isobaric solutions.
- Approved for use in children.
